Fairhaven Services appoints new CEO

Monique Cardon has been appointed the new Chief Executive Officer of Fairhaven Services Ltd, a leading local provider of disability supports and services on the Central Coast. Interim CEO, Tony Anderson said that Monique’s experience and values make her a terrific fit for the role at Fairhaven. He added, “I know that she will contribute to the growth of Fairhaven Services during the new phase of development for the organisation during a period of significant change within the disability sector.”

Monique has over 25 years of experience in the not for profit sector. She has worked at the national level in children’s services, locally with aged and disability services, and with many not for profit organisations as a consultant.

Her most recent role was Executive Officer of Volunteering Central Coast. Monique spent several years on the Board of Coast Community Connections, is immediate Past President of the Central Coast Community College, and continues her Board roles as Chair of Community Options Australia and Director of Coast Shelter.

She is an active member of the Rotary Club of Gosford City. Monique said, “Fairhaven has been invaluable support to people who live with disability, their families and carers, and the greater Central Coast community for over 50 years.

Working with the participants of our services to ensure they have choice and control over their lives is something I am passionate about. I feel incredibly honoured and humbled to lead the Fairhaven team and thank the Board for the opportunity.”
