Keiran Booth appointed to position of Executive Officer/Regional Development Officer
The Board of Community Council Central Coast is delighted to announce the appointment of Keiran Booth to the role of Executive Officer/Regional Development Officer. Keiran has commenced the role and brings over 27 years of community sector experience to the organisation.
Keiran has held numerous community focused positions at local, state and national levels. He has worked with a number of organisations across the Central Coast over the last decade. Keiran has served as the chair of the National Mental Health Consumer & Carer Forum (reporting to the Prime Minister and Cabinet) and the Health Minister’s Advisory Council. He also sat as a member of the Federal Treasurers Expert Advisory Group on Insurance and Mental Health and the NSW Ministry of Health Mental Health Clinical Advisory Council.
“I’m excited to be continuing the great work that has been done over the last 25 years with Community Council Central Coast. I am certainly looking forward to working closely with the fantastic community services and organisations that support the Central Coast community”, says Keiran.
Keiran has been recognised for his work at a local level – having been a finalist in the “Gosford City Citizen of the Year” awards for 3 consecutive years. He is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Community Practice and Governance and was the Central Coast and NSW President and National Secretary of a Peak Mental Health body.
With an interest in Mental Health, Keiran is an accredited Master instructor of Mental Health First Aid. He has personally delivered more than 70 courses and has trained well over 1,000 people.
