It’s time to PowWOW!
Nurturing non-violence in early childhood settings
In this thought-provoking and insightful talk, social worker and academic, Dr Sue Heward-Belle will bring some food for thought to the breakfast. Using research and practice experience in the areas of gender studies, education and violence prevention, Sue hopes to tackle the big questions like: Does it matter that Winnie the Pooh has no female friends? Why is Jemima Puddle Duck so special? Sue hopes to inspire thoughtful debate and discussion about the challenges of, and facilitators developing children who respect the dignity and diversity of all people.
