Around 1 in 5 Australian adults experience a common mental illness each year. Understanding how to talk about mental health and help someone in need are important skills. Many people feel uncomfortable and unprepared when thinking about starting a conversation with someone they are concerned about.
In this course, learn to recognise common mental health problems, how to provide initial help using a practical evidence-based action plan and how to respond in a crisis situation.
The course will be facilitated by an Accredited Mental Health First Aid Master Instructor from the Central Coast with over 13 years experience in the delivery of this course. They have excellent local knowledge and resources and have delivered more than 80 courses to more than 1,000 participants.

Cost – $175.00 per person Includes two days of face to face training, a mental health first aid manual, a certificate of attendance and the opportunity to complete a short post course, online quiz to receive 3 year accreditation as a certified Mental Health First Aider.
