A public consultation has just been launched on proposed reforms to the renting laws in NSW.
The NSW Fair Trading Community Voice Networks will be hosting a Community Worker Forum in the Hunter region next week as part of the Let’s Talk Hunter roadshow.
Information on how communities can take part in the public consultation and have their say on the proposed changes has now been included as an agenda item for the Community Worker Forum:
Thursday 20 July from 9.30am – 12noon
Pasterfield Community Centre
18c Horizon Avenue, Cameron Park.
(onsite parking available)The forum will include:
- An introduction to the Community Voice
Networks - Let’s Talk Hunter discussion about local
issues and emerging trends impacting consumers and workers - Information on the proposed renting reforms
and how communities can take part in the pubic consultation - Morning tea and networking opportunities
- An overview of NSW Fair Trading’s services for
communities - A mini Community Workers Expo with
representation from government agencies and other support services.
Registrations for the event have now been extended to Monday 17 July at 5pm.
