From NSW Fair Trading – Communitu Voice Networks
Special invitation –
Portable Long Service Leave Scheme for Community WorkersThursday 18 April 2024
1:30PM to 2:30PM
Online via TeamsCommunity Voice Network members are invited to an exclusive information session about the proposed portable long service leave scheme for community workers that is currently open for consultation.
Community services workers have a vital role in society; however workers are often faced with stress, burn-out and insecure employment arrangements. Portable long service leave entitlements will allow workers to access paid leave based on how long they have been employed in the sector, rather than how long they have worked for a single employer.
Join us to hear from the NSW Fair Trading Policy & Delivery team about the proposed portable long service leave scheme.
The session will provide information about:
- Scope and eligibility for the scheme
- Leave entitlements and funding
- Administration and governance
- Transition and implementation
Speakers:
- Warren McAllister – Director, Policy and Delivery, NSW
Fair Trading - Victor Chang – Policy Manager, Policy and Delivery, NSW
Fair Trading - Anjaline Jayamohan – Senior Policy Officer Policy and
Delivery, NSW Fair Trading
