We need your help!

A few months ago we launched our new website-based School Uniform Hub – https://schooluniformhub.org.au/

We now have around 100 listings of uniforms and shoes for around 40 schools, which is wonderful. However, to keep donors motivated and give the program momentum we need to start getting these listings to kids in need!

Can we ask you to please to go to https://schooluniformhub.org.au/ and log in with your We Care Connect password.

   out if there are any items that would suit your families?
2. If
   you are a school, perhaps also get suitable uniforms for your pool.

The School Uniform Hub is where Central Coast people can list with good condition school uniforms for free to give to a disadvantaged family.

Anyone can donate uniforms but only caseworkers, support workers and school staff registered with We Care Connect are able to request these items from the donors. If you have clients or know families who would be glad of these uniform or shoes, please go to Home – School Uniform Hub – click on “Find Free Uniforms” and you will be able to scroll through or search by school.

Some listings – especially generic things like shoes and football boots or unbranded trackie pants – might be listed under a particular school but be suitable for other schools as well.

Once you click on a listing, then use your We Care Connect registration to login and request the item. This will send a message to you and the donor. It’s designed so that donor and requester can communicate via messages but not have each other’s email address or phone number unless you choose to give it to them.

Then you will be able to arrange for the uniform to be picked up or dropped off somewhere convenient. A good option could be for the parcel to be dropped off at the school reception and the recipient to collect it from there, or at a local community centre.

Schools are welcome to request any uniforms available to give directly to their students.

We are expecting some publicity around the School Uniform Hub – it is quite a new idea. We will be advising people needing the uniforms listed to contact their support workers, or their local community centre or school to request the uniforms for them.
