- Drive youth engagement across the Central Coast Community
- Permanent part time – 20 hours per week
- Commencing salary range between $940 to $1,129 per week ($49k to $58.8k per annum) + 11.5% superannuation
About the role
The role of Youth Development Officer is responsible for ensuring young people on the Central Coast have full access to a range of information, support and leadership options, programs and resources to enable them to participate in the local community.
This position is required to provide quality customer service and create value for the community.
Key activities of this role include:
- Consulting with youth in our community and youth advisors to develop strategies and programs to meet their needs
- Develop and deliver youth-based activities, programs and events that support and empower young people
- Deliver on actions within the Central Coast Youth Strategy
This position is required to provide quality customer service and create value for the community.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Degree qualification in Youth Studies, Social Science, Community Development or related field or extensive experience in developing and delivering youth programs combined with ongoing professional development
- Current Class C or Provisional Driver’s licence
- Current Working with Children Check.
