A survey is currently being conducted to improve mental health and respite services for carers through Carer Gateway.

We encourage carers to complete this, so they can have their voices heard!

Carer Gateway e-News Special Edition – Carer Research Engagement

Do you use, or would you like to use, mental health or respite support?

The consultancy Nous Group (Nous) is working with the Australian Government Department of Health, Disability and Ageing to understand the critical challenges and opportunities for co-design and improving carer supports available through Carer Gateway. To inform this work, they are inviting carers to complete a survey that aims to better understand the challenges and opportunities accessing key carer supports including mental health supports and respite or breaks from the caring role.

The survey will take 10 to 20 minutes. It will ask you questions about where you think there are opportunities to improve counselling, mental health supports, and respite arrangements for carers.

Insights from the survey
will be used to inform the development of options for improved carer supports.
The survey is anonymous, voluntary, and you can stop at any time. What you
share is confidential and will not affect your access to support services. The
survey is open until 19 November 2025
